A couple of simple measuring tips:

Measuring Cups

  1. When measuring liquids, be sure to rest the cup on a level surface and read it at eye level, and it's best to use a glass cup when possible
  2. When measuring dry ingredients, make sure you fill the cup to the top and level it off with a straight edge - like a knife

Measuring Spoons

  1. When measuring liquids, always fill the spoon completely 
  2. When measuring dry ingredients, level it off with a straight edge
